    Educational content is developed independently of sponsors and is periodically reviewed and updated as new evidence becomes available.

  • AHIS is committed to supporting factual statements with publicly available evidence whenever appropriate.

    • Professional society guidelines

    • High-quality systematic reviews and evidence syntheses

    References are reviewed periodically and updated when significant new evidence becomes available.

  • AHIS develops disease awareness campaigns, educational websites, public service announcements (PSAs), and patient education resources designed to increase public understanding of health conditions and healthcare options.

    Educational materials:

    • Are intended for informational purposes only

    • Do not provide medical advice

    • Do not promote specific prescription products

    • Encourage discussions between individuals and their healthcare professionals

    • Are developed using evidence-based information

    Examples include disease awareness initiatives and educational resources such as Public Service Announcements.

  • To support informed healthcare discussions, AHIS may provide educational information about FDA-approved therapies, treatments, vaccines, diagnostics, medical devices, or clinical trials.

Governance & Transparency

  • AHIS collaborates with foundations, nonprofit organizations, healthcare organizations, government agencies, and industry partners to advance implementation science and public health initiatives.

    Financial support may be provided through grants, sponsorships, unrestricted educational support, implementation initiatives, or other lawful funding mechanisms.

    Regardless of funding source:

    • Sponsors do not control educational content.

    • Sponsors do not determine scientific conclusions.

    • Sponsors do not influence governance decisions.

    • Sponsors are disclosed when appropriate.

    • Educational content is developed according to AHIS policies for scientific integrity and editorial independence.

  • Board members, scientific advisors, contributors, reviewers, consultants, and staff participating in AHIS activities are expected to disclose relevant financial, professional, or organizational relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing their work.

    When potential conflicts are identified, AHIS implements appropriate management strategies to preserve the integrity of its educational and scientific activities.
