Enabling more life out of life.
The Alliance for Health Implementation Science is a member-based nonprofit collaborative advancing real-world readiness across healthcare innovation through governed initiatives, technology-enabled infrastructure, and cross-sector partnerships.
We transform evidence into impact for more people
by scaling what works in the real world through governed, technology-enabled implementation
How Implementation
Science works
AHIS enables closed-loop implementation by connecting patient activation, real-world data generation, and clinical decision support within governed initiatives.
Through clear governance, defined roles, and technology-enabled infrastructure, AHIS translates identified implementation gaps into time-bound initiatives that generate evidence, inform decisions, and continuously improve care.
At AHIS, this means:
Identify real-world implementation gaps
Co-create initiatives with patients, clinicians, and communities
Deploy solutions in care settings with real-world measurement
Measure outcomes and steward learning back into practice
AHIS supports governed real-world implementation initiatives that may include longitudinal cohorts, operational learning systems, implementation registries, and real-world evidence generation designed to improve how healthcare innovation reaches people.
Pillars of Work
Treatment &
Guideline Integration
Supporting the real-world integration of approved therapies, diajgnostics, and evidence-based standards of care across healthcare ecosystems.
Earlier Diagnosis &
Patient Identification
Improving how patients are identified, evaluated, and connected to appropriate specialty care pathways earlier.
Therapy Access & Care Coordination
Reducing operational and care coordination barriers that may delay appropriate treatment access and continuity.
Patient Activation Longitudinally
Supporting sustained engagement across care, research, and long-term health journeys.
Care Pathway Implementation
Designing and implementing measurable care pathways across healthcare systems and community settings.
Learning Systems & Adoption Measurement
Generating operational insight through implementation registries, longitudinal cohorts, and measurable implementation frameworks.
Partnerships & Real World Impact
AHIS initiatives are governed programs developed in partnership with healthcare organizations, funders, academic institutions, and community partners. Together, we design, test, and refine implementation approaches that can be repeated and scaled responsibly.
