EVERY SHOT COUNTS

A campaign of the VITAL Initiative, October 2026 to December 2027

Every shot counts.

Every adult should get the vaccines recommended for them, and have every one on their record. Every Shot Counts is a campaign to close the gap between adult vaccine recommendations and the adults who receive them, starting with RSV. It runs from RSV Awareness Month in October 2026 through December 2027, with I Vaccinated always on, and builds to the Awareness2Action (A2A) Forum in early 2028, where what the campaign learned comes together.

Recommended isn't the same as received.

RSV vaccines are recommended for every adult 75 and older and for adults 50 to 74 at increased risk. Most of them still haven't had one. And when adults do get vaccinated, many can't easily see their own record to know what they've had and what's next.

43.2%

of adults 75 and older reported ever receiving an RSV vaccine, as of February 2026.1

32.8%

of adults 50 to 74 with a high-risk condition reported ever receiving an RSV vaccine.1

46.5%

of adults reported a flu vaccine in the 2025–26 season.2

13 of 58

state, territorial and city registries offer adults no online way to get their own record.3

The campaign starts with RSV and runs through 2027: get the vaccines recommended for you, then make sure every one is on your record.

The inaugural term

Sponsorship covers the full inaugural campaign, October 2026 through December 2027, plus the A2A Forum in January–February 2028. After that, campaign years run March to December, with the A2A Forum each January and February. Sponsors who join later are recognized from signing, at the same level.

Recognition

Sponsors are named publicly by level on this page and the RSV Awareness Month partner wall. No sponsor reviews or shapes campaign content.

Sponsorship covers the whole campaign, including RSV Awareness Month and I Vaccinated. I Vaccinated and RSV Awareness Month are not sponsored on their own. No level carries category or product exclusivity, and sponsors never appear on the record finder, the state access map or the guidelines. Pricing and full terms are available on request; the Sponsor Toolkit is coming soon.

Built to pass your compliance review.

Every Shot Counts is a disease-awareness campaign. Its value to every sponsor depends on its independence, so independence is built in, not negotiated. How AHIS stays independent

Non-promotional

Campaign content is about vaccination and records: who is eligible, how to get protected and how to find your record. AHIS does not endorse vaccines, products or providers.

Guidelines are the source

Recommendations follow the medical societies' current schedules, matching CDC where they agree, with every statistic cited.

AHIS selects all content

Sponsors do not review, edit or approve patient-facing materials, the record finder, the state access map, speakers or agendas.

No exclusivity

Multiple sponsors at every level, including companies whose products compete. No sponsor owns the campaign, the month or the sticker.

Advisory only

Sponsors may share priorities through the Sponsor Advisory Council, a formal, non-binding channel with published summaries. They never direct content or conclusions.

Named publicly

All sponsors are listed by level. Participation by sponsors, members or partners does not imply AHIS endorsement or preferential treatment.

For your internal routing. This is a disease-awareness sponsorship with recognition benefits, typically funded from patient advocacy, public affairs, market access or disease-state budgets. It is not a charitable contribution without benefits, and not an independent medical education grant.

Free to join. A small ask. Real reach.
